Here at Towngate, our classes pledge to make a difference to the local community. This year, we will be raising money for the following charities:
Year 6: Barnardo’s
Year 5/6: Age UK
Year 5: NSPCC
Year 4: Wakefield Autism Leisure Club
Year 3: Wakefield Hospice
Year 2: Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Year 1/2: RSPCA
Year 1: Prince’s Trust
Reception: Yorkshire Aid
Nursery: Support Dogs
We are incredibly lucky to work closely with our dedicated PTA who place the children at the forefront of all the work they do. The PTA plan a range of fantastic events over the calendar year to fundraise for our academy.
Some of the events that are held annually include:
– Halloween Disco
– Christmas Disco
– PTA Cinema Nights
– Christmas Fayres
– Valentine’s Events
– Theme days
– Easter Egg Hunts
– Summer Fayres
In Year 23/24, the primary focus for our PTA is the development of our outdoor area.
